Golden Future Volunteer Senior Ambassador Program

Get Out. Get Involved. Give Back.

Volunteer Senior Ambassadors play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and stress-free experience for attendees at the Golden Future Senior Expo. Our goal is for attendees to feel welcomed, respected and supported from the moment they arrive. Serving as friendly guides and peer helpers, Senior Ambassadors assist fellow seniors with wayfinding and general questions—especially during arrival and peak times. 


This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others, communicating with peers, and contributing to a positive uplifting community event.

 

Becoming a Senior Ambassador is also a wonderful way to stay active, meet new people,  and socialize with fellow volunteers and attendees while giving back to your local community. 


Key Responsibilities:

Senior Ambassadors may assist with:

  • Registration
  • Greeting and welcoming seniors as they arrive
  • Providing reassurance and basic information about the event flow
  • Helping attendees find seating, restrooms, registration, and key areas
  • Assisting seniors with mobility needs (walking support, directions, locating staff assistance)
  • Monitoring attendee comfort and alerting staff if someone needs help 
  • Answering common questions or directing attendees to the appropriate staff member
  • Serving as a calm, friendly presence during busy periods
  • Additional tasks may be requested as needed

 

Time Commitment

  • Typical shift: 4–6 hours on event day
  • Brief onsite orientation provided

Qualifications:

 

  • Are 55 years of age or older (preferred)


  • Must be able to commit to 3 or more events. 


  • Enjoy helping and interacting with other seniors
     
  • Communicate clearly, patiently, and respectfully
     
  • Remain calm and positive in busy environments
     
  • Are reliable and punctual
     
  • Are able to stand or walk for short periods (with breaks available)
     
  • Are comfortable working as part of a team

    *Volunteer Experience is not required.
